Music

The music facilities at Eton are unquestionably world class and the performances that I have been lucky enough to photograph have all been exceptional and in many cases, emotional, moving and spine tingling. The individual talent as well as the collective brilliance of the orchestra and choirs at the school are all outstanding.

I often photograph musical performances whether they be House concerts or one of the many larger concerts hosted in the state-of-the-art symphonic concert hall and I am always left inspired and in complete awe and admiration of the raw talent on show.

In this gallery you will find images taken over the years from small intimate performances in some of the boarding houses, to larger concerts in the music school or concert hall. If only the images could play the music they portray.

In decades gone past, Eton has produced a host of world class musicians from George Butterworth (composer), Thomas Dunhill (composer), Humphrey Lyttelton (jazz trumpeter) and Frank Turner (musician). I am sure there will be many more to come.
